ECC Club Progress Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 19, 2026. ECC Club Progress supports the Awana program at Evangelical Chinese Church (ECC) and is independently maintained by Elaina Guan with the church's permission. The church-approved contact for privacy questions and requests is Muzhi Zhao at zhaoweixiong521@gmail.com.

Information used by the app

The app uses account names, email addresses, account identifiers, and sign-in information to provide access. It stores clubber names, grades, club and team assignments, meeting attendance, handbook sections and completion status, and related program records entered by families or authorized leaders. The app may save a notification preference on the device.

How information is used

We use this information to manage accounts, limit access by role, record attendance and handbook progress, show parent updates, send account and password-reset messages, and respond to support requests. The app is not designed to serve advertisements or track people across other companies' apps or websites.

Who can access information

Authorized program administrators and leaders can access information needed for their roles. Parents can access records linked to their account. Service providers used to run the app include Google Firebase for authentication and data storage, Heroku for backend hosting, and email-delivery services for invitations or password resets. Information is not intended to be posted publicly.

Children's information

Clubber records are intended to be managed by parents or authorized program leaders. Children do not need to create their own accounts to use this service. Please do not send additional sensitive information about a child through support email.

Retention and requests

Records are kept while needed to operate the club program or meet applicable obligations. To ask about a record, request a correction, or request deletion, email Muzhi Zhao at zhaoweixiong521@gmail.com. We may ask you to verify your relationship to the account or clubber before making a change.

This policy may be updated when the app or its data practices change. The current version will be available at this page.
